Dammann Frères has been selected as exclusive partner at The St. Regis Rome, building, as does the St. Regis, on a long heritage of finest teas. 1963, Mr. Damame was granted the privilege in France, to exclusively sell its teas to Louis XIV, the beginning of a long story resulting in Dammann Frères being today one of the most famous and prestigious tea sellers in the world.

Our vast collection of teas has been carefully selected by our Tea Sommelier who will be delighted to take you through a bespoke journey of the different varieties of tea.

The History

Since its creation in England in the early 1800s by Anna, Duchess of Bedford, the way to enjoy Afternoon Tea has long been associated with the entertainment of society.

In the late 19th century, it was Caroline Astor, mother of the St. Regis founder John Jacob Astor IV, who elevated Afternoon Tea to a new level by introducing the ritual at dignified gatherings at her house in Manhattan.

Time to revive this St. Regis tradition in our beautiful hall, a moment of creating memories in the heart of Rome.

We arrived at the hotel and there was a slight problem with our initial accomodation. The staff were right on top of it and we reached an immediate resolution. Monica, from guest services, took great care of us the next day, and saw that we were watched over for our entire stay. The staff here are amazing, especially the breakfast staff. We loved Rome, and knowing each night we would be spending it at the St Regis was reassuring. We were to made to feel at home here. Highly recommended.
