The History

I have stayed in many SPG hotels including other St. Regis hotels, but this one is the very benchmark that I will select. Every (I mean as it literally means) staff was warm, helpful and well trained, from the reception woman, to the doorman to the restaurant staff, to the concerted staff. They always put on smile on their face, which was not squeezed to smile, but very sincere and warm. As a platinum member, I was upgraded to a delux room. The style of this hotel is in light golden, which is bright and warm, but never superficial. The bed was cozy and soft. The facility was well maintained. The breakfast offered incredibly fresh fruit and bread. (Oh, except that the chef over-cooked my husband's egg and forgot to send it to him on time.) We also had a dinner at the Vivendo restaurant. The staff was so helpful, but not over pushed. He helped us share dishes and carefully figured out our preferred sequence of dish serving (we made no usual order). We were chatting that he was so well trained like a Michelline Restaurant. After the dinner, I googled and found that it had been a Michelline one star hotel. Perhaps they lost the star because the restaurant was undergoing renovation. Believe me, the food and service is first-class. When we leave, the doormen saw to us luggage and made sure they load them into the car. By the way, the local attractions are within walking distance of this hotel. It was a superb end-to-end experience and the best hotel that I have ever lived in. I strongly recommend this hotel!
