How much is the Rome City Tax?

The Rome City Council introduced a City tax which is in addition to VAT currently 10%. City tax is payable by all guests at check-out and is applicable for a maximum of 10 consecutive nights. Since September 1st 2014, the Rome City tax is €7.00 per person per night.

What does "ZTL" mean?

Zona traffico limitato stands for a limited traffic zone, in the historic center of Rome. Only public transport and authorized cars are permitted within the dedicated zone. For detailed information if you wish to arrive with your own car, please contact our concierge

In accordance with security and safety regulations on Old Historical Palaces, we do not provide coffee makers in the room, but you can order your favorite coffe at any time of the day from your St. Regis Butler or our Room Service.

Can I have an iron in the room?

Due to the Italian law on Old Historical Palaces, we cannot offer an iron in the room, however we offer an in-house pressing service.

Can I pay for someone else?

To prepay your stay or pay for someone else, we invite you to kindly complete the credit card authorisation form here > and send it back to us by fax: +39 06 4201 4201.

Can I pay for my stay in my own currency?

Several credit cards do support Dynamic Currency Conversion which is available upon check out. This service is available to Visa and Mastercard customers in USD, AUD, GBP, CAD, HKD, JPY and CHF.

Can I pay for my stay in cash?

Kindly note that cash payment extent permitted by law for European citizens is EUR 2.999. For non-EU citizens a dedicated form needs to be filled out to pay a larger amount in cash.

Is any specific clothing required to visit churches?

Kindly make sure to bring along a shawl or scarf as you may be asked to cover your shoulders as a sign of respect at religious places.

Are museums open every day?

Kindly note that some museums are closed on Mondays. For details on opening hours, the St. Regis Concierge team will gladly assist you.

Transportation

How do I get to the hotel from the train station?

Termini Central train station is a 10min walk from The St. Regis Rome. A taxi-drive is around EUR 10, depending on the amount of luggage, that is added as a fix rate to the fare.

How do I get to the hotel from the airport?

The hotel can be reached by taxi or public transport. Busses and the Leonardo Express direct train from the airport arrive at Termini Central Station, a 10min walk from the Hotel.

Do you offer a private transfer service?

The St. Regis Rome will gladly arrange a private car transfer from/to the hotel. For more information and pricing options, please complete the reservation request.
